The Biologics Research Center (BRC) is seeking a bioinformatician, data scientist, or computational biologist to join the Bioinformatics and Biotherapeutics modeling team.
The team collaborates with experimental scientists to analyze various omics datasets, develop data analysis pipelines and tools for biologics programs, and advance technology platforms in cell and gene therapy and xRNA fields.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide computational, bioinformatic, and statistical support for research and early development projects in biologics and technology. You will translate project needs into bioinformatics solutions, identify computational requirements, and contribute to the development of innovative analysis techniques and tools to enhance bioinformatics applications in biologics.
Your Key Responsibilities :
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
* Provide bioinformatics support by analyzing and integrating omics and screening data to derive meaningful insights.
* Design, execute, and document complex omics data analyses; interpret and report findings to inform decision-making.
* Stay abreast of advances in the field, promote awareness, and incorporate new computational techniques.
* Collaborate across teams to meet project needs and adapt to new technologies.
* Develop user-friendly applications to facilitate access to genomic data for scientists.
* Communicate data analyses effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Lead or support the development of innovative bioinformatics solutions to answer scientific questions related to next-generation xRNA therapeutics.
Role Requirements :
Essential Requirements :
* Higher degree (Masters/MSc or recent PhD) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cheminformatics, or related field, or an MS with relevant industry experience.
* Experience with next-generation sequencing data and analysis tools; ability to develop pipelines.
* Knowledge of RNA Biology; experience with oligonucleotide-based therapies or gene therapy is preferred.
* Proficiency in Python and R, with experience in high-performance computing and software development practices.
* Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
* Experience in data integration, visualization, troubleshooting, and staying current with genomics developments.
Desired Requirements :
* Development and application of machine learning algorithms.
* Experience with lab automation and data management.
