Gi Group, Life Sciences division, on behalf of one of our esteemed clients, company operating in the pharmaceutical sector, we are looking for:
SALES SPECIALIST – APIs
Your Mission:
You will play a key role in driving business development and commercial growth across the European and Asian markets, building long-term relationships with clients and partners while coordinating internal support functions to ensure seamless execution of commercial activities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and expand the company's API business in Europe and Asia by identifying new clients and business opportunities.
* Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring satisfaction and continuity.
* Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in line with company strategy and profitability goals.
* Collaborate with internal departments (logistics, quality, regulatory, finance) to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
* Supervise and coordinate an export officer and a sales assistant within the regional team.
* Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to provide insights to management.
* Attend international fairs, client visits, and other business events as required.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, Business Administration, or related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in API sales or business development within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Solid understanding of API market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and distribution models.
* Proven ability to generate new business and manage a portfolio of clients across different markets.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a multicultural environment.
* Fluent English (C1 level minimum). Additional languages are a strong plus.
* Availability to travel (50%).
