We are looking for a graduate student in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related discipline, interested in an early career position within our innovative company. This role is part of our Future Career Graduate Program, which offers a 1-year project-based contract.
Graduate Project The Schachen Biotech Process Automation team provides a strategic link between our early and late-stage pipeline. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining a ‘Line of Sight’ across stages.
The Data Analyst Graduate Project involves creating innovative solutions to identify and visualize correlations across multiple sets and levels of real production and analytical data. This includes implementing PowerBI dashboards for real-time data visualization, focusing on key process parameters, metrics, and out-of-range values for batches or campaigns. The project extends to integrating data from SAP (Bill of Materials, Bill of Parameters, Inventory) and MES (Parameter Value Lists), aiming to overview and de-bottleneck ongoing batches or campaigns.
This role also encompasses working with automation solutions using AWS and Azure cloud services, developing dashboards to represent process data, and potentially applying machine learning algorithms using Python or R.
Responsibilities Collaborate with various business teams to understand needs and identify relevant data sources.
Assess, collect, clean, and interpret process and analytical data.
Prepare data for analysis and visualization in PowerBI dashboards.
Provide fresh perspectives and insights within the department.
Participate in digital transformation initiatives involving system integration, data connectivity, and process optimization.
After onboarding and initial training, you will perform tasks independently, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in consultation with your supervisor or peers.
Required Skills Graduate student in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related fields.
Passionate about process data science and analysis.
Proven experience in bioprocess engineering, analytical methods, and data interpretation.
Basic knowledge of Python and/or R.
Basic familiarity with Power BI, Databricks, or Dataiku (preferred but not required).
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
