Quality Assurance Engineer - Zurich (Contract or Perm)
My client, a leader in the Space Technology sector are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their expanding team. The role itself can be considered on a contract or permanent employment basis and can be described as follows:
Role / Responsibilities:
Direct link to the PA-organisation of the customer and/or subcontractors
Realization of all PA-requirements resulting from the contract, PA Requirements, Statement of Work etc.
Surveillance of all measures for quality during manufacturing at internal and at external subcontractors
Realization of PA function during qualification and acceptance tests
Composition of the documentation of the product (End Item Data Package) according to the requirements from the customer
Preparation and realization of visits at customer and/or suppliers and subcontractors
Preparation and realization of inspections
Responsible for compliance of the NC process in the projects Coordination of all the Configuration Management activities within your projects in collaboration with all the stakeholders
Establish and/or implement the Configuration Management Plan
Specify the Configuration Management requirements to subcontractors and suppliers and ensure that they are respected and properly implemented
Manage the corrections and evolution on the projects; lead the CCBs
Establish the configuration baselines
Ensure the recording and the restitution of the configuration status
Perform configuration verifications
Participate in end of phase reviews (PDR, CDR...)
Quality Assurance for FPGA design and development activities aimed to guarantee the correct process implementation in accordance with ECSS standards (and their tailoring according SoW) for ASIC/FPGA design for space ECSS-Q-ST-60-03C & ECSS-E-ST-20-40C (11 October 2023)
Skills / Experience:
A master degree in electronics engineering, material & processes engineering or aerospace engineering
A 3+ years' experience in the space industry and/ or in a similar role
Familiarity with ECSS, ISO, MIL and other relevant international Standards & Norms
You have a proven experience with Opto-electronic products
Experience in processes qualification
Experience in auditing (certification is an asset)
Knowledge of cleanliness and contamination control practices and clean-room environment
Ability to adapt to various development model practices and to apply Agile principles and Lean Management
Substantial knowledge of Configuration Management and ECSS-M-ST-40
Familiarity with configuration management tools (PLM/PDM)
Ability to work within international and interdisciplinary teams
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to present ideas and listen to others' ideas and cooperate in heterogeneous groups
Structured, methodical working method
Ability to proactively find solutions within the available timeframe and budget
