Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

About EPD Supply Chain
The EPD (Established Pharmaceuticals Division) focuses on providing high-quality, affordable medicines to patients around the world. The Supply Chain team plays a key role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products by managing procurement, planning, and coordination with manufacturing sites and third-party suppliers. Their work supports global operations and contributes directly to Abbott’s mission of improving health outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Placing and managing Purchase Orders (POs) and Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) in our system.
* Ensuring timely and accurate order execution and proactively communicating with manufacturing sites.
* Monitoring dashboards and supply metrics to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
* Collaborating closely with planners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to process optimization.
Qualifications
* Proactive and responsible, with a strong sense of ownership.
* Skilled in system handling (SAP ECC / APO experience is a plus).
* An excellent communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally in an international environment.
* Analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions.
* Comfortable working with tools like Excel and Power BI.
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (we’re open to diverse educational backgrounds).
* Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or planning - ideally within the pharmaceutical industry, but this not mandatory.
* Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a nice-to-have but not mandatory.
