Join us to be part of a vibrant, forward-thinking team pushing the boundaries of applied AI technology What you will do at Parashift As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll write the production code that powers our AI-driven document automation platform. Collaborating closely with the CTO, Product Board, and Engineering team, you'll focus on hands-on development, code quality, and delivery velocity. Here's what you'll do: Write production-grade code daily, building backend services and frontend components that directly handle document ingestion, processing, and automation workflows. Connect different components of the solution, wiring together microservices via APIs, message queues and database Design and implement database schemas, optimizing models, writing efficient queries, and managing migrations for high-volume document metadata and automation rules. Bridge product and engineering, turning user stories into technical tasks, clarifying edge cases with PMs, and delivering working software that matches acceptance criteria. Refactor and improve legacy code, paying down technical debt, extracting reusable modules, and improving developer experience without breaking functionality. Ship code multiple times per week, managing branches, resolving merge conflicts, and ensuring CI/CD pipelines pass before deployment. Document your work, writing clear READMEs, API specs, and inline comments so new team members can onboard fast and maintain your code. What You Bring to Parashift's Success The ideal candidate brings: 5+ years backend development in B2B SaaS, with proven delivery using Ruby from concept to production. Ruby expertise: Deep mastery of Rails 6+, Hotwire/Turbo/Stimulus, Sidekiq, API-only mode, and event-driven patterns. Microservices & scalability: Builds and maintains async, high-throughput services with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and Redis caching. Data layer: Advanced PostgreSQL (JSONB, CTEs, indexing), schema design, and Rails migrations; experience with Alembic a plus. API design: Crafts clean REST and GraphQL APIs, writes OpenAPI specs, and integrates with ERP/CRM/DMS systems. Proficiency in AI-supported development: Comfortable with GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, or Cursor to accelerate delivery. Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience with a strong GitHub/portfolio. Languages: Fluent in German or English.
