In the R&D department for Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS), we are looking for a R&D Mechanical Engineer %) as a team leader for Global Product Support.
We offer you a job in a project-oriented, dynamic, and agile environment with ambitious goals in a modern R&D department. You will gain insight into the interrelationship of technology, product development, product testing and product production of high voltage switchgears, in which we offer you active participation in our core activities. You will work and be integrated in a team of experts in the field of high voltage design, having the possibility to extend, deepen and further develop the knowledge in electrical and mechanical design.
How You'll Make An Impact
Leading a team of specialists and coordinating global collaboration
Elaboration of innovative product support following standards, design rules, guidelines, and internal processes
Collaborate with globally distributed partners, e.g., product Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Lines and R&D centers
Having good sense for processes and for continuous improvements to products and data management
Execute technical product documentation by means of reports and instruction
Your background
You hold a Mechanical Engineering degree
Knowledge of high-voltage technology and gas-insulated switchgear
Experience and interest to work with 3D CAD design, ERP and PLM software and tools
Project management and good communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
Hands-on, creative, independent, and solution-oriented professional
Knowledge regarding quality, reliability and/or manufacturing/ assembly is a plus
