Component development for OPENLY - the somewhat different architecture job 40-80% OPENLY is a bionic building system that significantly reduces CO2 emissions during construction and relies on regenerative and innovative building materials. We have several construction projects with hundreds of residential units in planning and implementation phases, and we have registered several patents of our own.
We are expanding our team and are looking for an architect with a target workload of 40-80%, available immediately or by arrangement. An engineer with a similar profile would also be a good fit.
Your activities:
Conceptual and practical component development focusing on wall and façade systems.
Creating and obtaining fire protection approvals (ETAs) for Switzerland and Europe in collaboration with our partner SIPIZ.
Designing and conducting further approvals and tests (sound insulation, C2C, etc.).
Performing full cost calculations including industrial purchase prices, labor, and machinery costs up to delivery and assembly.
Assisting with marketing material development, trade fair participation, and acting as a course leader in our Openly Lab.
You will work closely with our spin-offs VALLEY ARCHITEKTEN and CANCRET AG. We share office space in Widnau SG, with an expectation of one day of presence per week and the option for remote work.
You have a genuine interest in biogenic building materials, but are not necessarily aligned with the 'Birkenstock faction.' You possess several years of professional experience in designing and executing construction projects as an architect or engineer and work independently with a goal- and business-oriented approach. (We are not a university or EMPA.)
You enjoy direct contact with craftsmen, such as our partners Schoeb-AG (timber construction) and Dade Design (hempcrete), where we implement, test, and optimize components directly in real-world settings.
Interested?
Our consulting manager, Sandra Schuster, looks forward to receiving your application at hello@openly.systems (please include your CV and a detailed motivation letter; no exposés).
We are also happy to accept applications from Vorarlberg and can offer an Austrian employment contract if required.
