The Head of Account Management leads the Account Management team (3–4people) and reports directly to the General Manager. The role works in close collaboration with the CEO, Head of Partnerships, and all department heads involved in partner integrations.

The position oversees all partner-related topics for both the Freeride World Tour (FWT) and the Verbier Bike Festival (VBF) before, during, and after the season. This includes partner rights management, activation planning, contract compliance, on-site delivery, reporting, and long-term relationship development.

The Head of Account Management is ultimately responsible for partner satisfaction, contract delivery, revenue growth through activations, and the continuous improvement of FWT & VBF sponsorship services.


What the FWT

The Freeride World Tour (FWT) team is comprised of 20-25 young and passionate staff based near Lausanne, Switzerland. They work year-round to organize the five-stop Freeride World Tour circuit, which includes the well-known Xtreme Verbier event. Verbier event.


In addition, the FWT oversees:

* 140+ Junior events worldwide
* A global community of 10,000+ licensed riders

This entails a lot of work and travel but also means spending time at events (and occasionally sharing a drink) with the FWT Family. This unique community includes over 120 people, including external staff, riders, and partners. Working with FWT is a life-changing experience that allows you to meet inspiring individuals and grow on both personal and professional levels.

Head Of Account ManagementThe work environment is dynamic and occasionally disorganized but encourages proactivity and the sharing of new ideas regardless of position or background, all with a focus on the big picture in which everyone plays a crucial role. Micro-management and hierarchy are not part of our vocabulary, and the status quo gives us nightmares. Telework and flexible work arrangements are promoted, though physical teamwork is also emphasized as necessary for success.

The same team also organizes the Verbier Bike Festival (VBF), launched in 2019 and now the largest bike event in Switzerland. VBF is a mass-participation event, accessible to everyone (from 7 to 77), offering bike and e-bike tests, discovery tours, kids races, and a wide range of experiential formats.


Meet the team

The Head of Account Management joins the Account Management Department, which serves as the main liaison for all FWT and VBF partners and sponsors. The team works closely with Communications, Operations, Sport Development, and Sales to ensure partners receive high-quality service, strong visibility, and measurable value from their engagement with FWT and VBF.

Your Missions

The Head of Account Management is responsible for:

* Ensuring high partner satisfaction and long-term relationship quality
* Guaranteeing full and compliant delivery of all partner contracts
* Leading and developing the Account Management team
* Continuously improving FWT & VBF sponsorship services
* Supporting revenue growth through prospection, activations, exhibitors, and renewals


Key Responsibilities


1. Account Management & Partner Services (FWT & VBF)

With the support of the Account Management team:

* Oversee key partner accounts from A to Z (kick-off meetings, follow-up, end-of-season reporting)
* Define partners’ KPIs in collaboration with each partner
* Ensure smooth planning and delivery of all partner activations and visibility before and during the season
* Lead the organization of the annual Pre-Season Partners Workshop
* Control contract compliance and monitor branding share across all events
* Oversee all operational partnership topics, including:
o Invoicing
o Content access
o Accreditations
o Accommodation
o VIK orders
o Travel and logistics
* Conduct end-of-season partner satisfaction surveys and analyze results
* Monitor and benchmark best-in-class sponsorship practices and concepts from other sports properties


2. Branding, Visibility & Media Deliverables

* Oversee the coordination and delivery of all partner branding at FWT events (start gates, finish walls, arches, event villages, etc.)
* Ensure fair, accurate, and contract-compliant logo distribution across all FWT branding
* Supervise partner visibility across all communication and media channels, including:
o On-site branding & prints
o Live coverage & highlights
o Digital edits
o Photography
o Website & social media
o TV broadcasts
* Maintain and update all tracking and briefing documents (logoboard masters, branding shares, visual folders)


3. On-Site Operations & Partner Experience

* Act as on-site lead for partner-related operational topics:
o Hospitality areas
o Travel, accommodation & F&B
* Oversee preparation and on-site implementation for each partner, including ski and bike test exhibitors
* Ensure full partner satisfaction during events through proactive service and problem-solving (Yes — this also includes informal moments skiing and sharing a drink with partners.)


4. Reporting, Measurement & Insights

In collaboration with the Head of Communications :

* Lead discussions with performance and media value partners (e.g. Nielsen, Athletia)
* Monitor media distribution partners’ performance and audience generation
o Media valuation reports
o Partner presentations
* Support the Sales Team in identifying new sales targets and relevant entry points
* Participate actively in the renewal process of existing partners
* Proactively work with partners to develop smart, efficient activation concepts that benefit both partners and FWT / VBF
* Lead the sales of ski tests, e-bike tests, and event village exhibitor concept and packages
* Define VBF exhibitor prospection, packages and pricing in collaboration with Sales
* Grow year-over-year revenues linked to activations and exhibitors
* Mentor, responsabilize, and develop the Account Management team
* Define roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives within the team
* Build scalable processes and tools to support partner growth and service quality
* Ensure strong cross-departmental planification, delivery and accountability


Your story

* Full professional proficiency in French and English (spoken & written)
* Degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, Sports Management or equivalent professional experience
* 5+ years of proven experience in partnership, account management or sponsorship roles, ideally within sports, events, media or entertainment
* Solid experience working with international partners and multi- stakeholder projects
* Strong interest in sports marketing rights and sponsorship activation; good understanding of outdoor and action sports ecosystems
* Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, timelines and deliverables end-to-end
* High level of autonomy, rigor and accountability; solution-oriented and able to stay composed under pressure
* Natural authority, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact confidently with partners, agencies, senior management and on- site teams
* Strong team player, comfortable leading and developing people in a small, agile organization
* Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ability to structure, analyze and present information clearly
* Experience with tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Notion, Mailchimp is an asset
* Willing and motivated to travel during the winter season
* Fully comfortable with the reality of live events, where intensity and availability can peak during key periods
