The nature of this role means you can expect to be in the office up to 5 days PW, connected to our Rolle site, so you will need to be in a commutable proximity.
This is a 1 Year contract. There is possibility for permanent outcome or extension, but it can't be guaranteed at the start.
Your Mission
Reporting to the Senior Director, Genomic Research you will play a crucial role in supporting our next-generation sequencing (NGS) activities by performing various laboratory tasks and procedures. This position offers a great opportunity for growth and professional development in the field of genomic research.
Responsibilities
* Conducting sample preparation for NGS experiments, including DNA and RNA extraction, quantification, and quality control.
* Performing NGS library preparation, including DNA fragmentation, adapter ligation, and PCR amplification.
* Operating and maintaining NGS instruments, such as sequencers and sequencer robots.
* Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
* Maintaining accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
* Collaborating with other team members to optimize and troubleshoot experimental protocols.
* Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality control standards.
Requirements
* BA or MSc degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry etc). Candidates with CFC will also be considered.
* 2 - 5 years of experience working in a molecular biology laboratory setting
* Familiarity with NGS library preparation protocols and sequencing technologies is expected
* Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment, such as pipettes, centrifuges, and thermal cyclers.

Language
As an international organisation, English is our primary business language and you will need to bring full fluency in English.
