Senior Controller R&D
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Controller R&D for our Finance department.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned projects and areas in close cooperation with Department Heads (DH), Project Leads (PL), Cost Center Heads (CCH), and other key stakeholders.
2. Coordinate budgeting and forecasting events: prepare planning tools and support the business in the budget process.
3. Collect, record, and verify data in SAC and SAP; support data consolidation across the company; liaise with PL and CCH.
4. Manage monthly closing activities: run cost assessment cycles, update SAC, create group reports and management presentations, and prepare reporting packages for CCH, DH, and PL. Perform deviation analysis and data reconciliation.
5. Contribute insights to the Monthly Financial Report (MFR), explaining variances between Actuals and Budget.
6. Support the accrual process for assigned cost centers and projects.
7. Coordinate with Procurement on the financial aspects of service contracts and work orders to ensure accurate reflection of financial commitments.
8. Review and approve invoices and accounting vouchers.
9. Represent Finance in project review meetings and ensure project costs are tracked accurately in coordination with the Project Lead.
10. Act as a deputy for members of the Controlling team as needed.
Your Profile
* University or equivalent degree in Finance, Controlling, or Business Administration.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably with R&D projects.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with high integrity.
* Well-organized, structured, with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and good prioritization abilities.
* Proficient in SAP (SAP FI/CO, MM, PP, SD).
* Proactive personality with excellent communication skills at various levels.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.
