Overview
Zumbach Electronic AG is an internationally active Swiss family-owned company with headquarters in Orpund/Biel and its own offices worldwide. For over 60 years, we have been one of the leading manufacturers of high-tech measuring and testing systems for the cable, plastics and steel industries.
Responsibilities
* Manage the software development teams at the headquarter in Orpund/Biel, Switzerland, and in Barcelona, Spain (11 people in total).
* Establish and manage a network of collaborations with universities, institutions, service providers and other industrial partners.
* Drive the company\'s software development in a modern way and shape the software development strategy in terms of products, methods, tools, platforms and organisation.
* Combine IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) to implement solutions that enable IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) approaches for customers. As a hands-on, experienced engineer, contribute to ongoing R&D projects.
Your profile
* Broad experience in the development and management of software applications in the technical field (real-time operating systems, industrial communication, control systems).
* Experience bridging IT and OT and ability to demonstrate corresponding experience.
* Interest in the implementation of complex measuring and testing systems.
* Ability to maintain an overview of the essentials and identify, assess and implement suitable solutions.
* Fluent English; German language skills are ideal. Knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.
Employment conditions
* Willing to travel regularly to Spain (several times a year).
