Role Description
The Cluster Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Engelberg, responsible for driving revenue and market share across a designated cluster of Kempinski properties. The role includes developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities in corporate, leisure, and MICE segments. The Cluster Sales Manager conducts regular sales calls and client visits, attends trade shows and industry events, and organizes site inspections and familiarization trips to showcase the hotels. Daily responsibilities include preparing sales reports and forecasts, monitoring competitor activity, and collaborating with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment of pricing, promotions, and service delivery. The role also involves negotiating contracts, maintaining accurate records in sales systems, and providing continuous feedback to management on market trends and client needs.
Qualifications
* Strong sales, account management, and business development skills, ideally gained within the hospitality or travel industry.
* Experience with cluster or multi-property portfolio management, including revenue generation across different market segments.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
* Solid analytical and reporting abilities, including forecasting, pipeline management, and use of CRM or sales management tools.
* Proven organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Comfort working cross-functionally with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations teams to align sales strategies and campaigns.
* Previous experience in luxury or upscale hotel environments is highly advantageous.
* Fluency in English; additional languages, especially German, are a strong asset.
* Willingness and ability to travel for client visits, trade fairs, and sales events as required.
* Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
