This position reports to: Global Communications Manager __ Your role and responsibilities The role leads the global Event and Exhibition Center of Expertise, managing regional experts and overseeing EMEA event execution while defining the global events strategy and driving the CoE’s growth, innovation, and adoption of new formats and technologies. It ensures alignment with divisional priorities, establishes governance frameworks and KPIs, oversees budgets and compliance with global standards, and acts as the central coordination point to enable consistent, high‑impact events supported by strong cross‑regional and cross‑divisional collaboration. The work model for the role is: remote ; LI-Remote The role is contributing to the Motion Business Area globally. You will be mainly accountable for: Leading and mentoring regional event experts, ensuring alignment with global strategies, divisional objectives, and consistent cross‑regional collaboration, whilst taking a hands-on role on our ongoing event activities. Defining and driving the CoE growth roadmap, introducing new capabilities, technologies, best practices, and innovative event formats across physical, hybrid, and virtual channels. Establishing governance frameworks, KPIs, standards, and tools to ensure compliant, efficient, and high‑quality global event execution, supported by continuous process optimization and actionable performance insights. Overseeing global event budgets and act as the central coordination point across divisions and regions, aligning event strategies with business priorities and managing EMEA event execution. Qualifications for the role Minimum 8 years of experience in Communications with minimum 3 years of experience in Event Management. At least 1 year experience in a management role within a global or matrix organization. Preferred knowledge of hybrid event formats, digital engagement strategies, and event technology platforms. Experience in a Center of Expertise or shared services model is a distinct advantage. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field. Proven ability to lead and develop teams, as well as to manage complex, multi-region projects. Demonstrated experience in a multinational environment and cross-cultural collaboration. Self-starter, solution oriented and flexible workstyle. Solid data-driven decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement. Strategic thinking, excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel. Fluent English language skills, additional languages are a plus.
