Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one ERP for growth and efficiency. The program will standardize processes to support the Pharmaceutical business with an integrated data strategy and a single SAP S/4 HANA instance.
This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered in Beerse, Belgium; Cork, Ireland; Zug or Schaffhausen, Switzerland; or Toronto, Ontario (CAN).
Overview
We are searching for the best talent for a Transcend: Director, Global Template Owner (GTO) Innovative Medicines (IM) Customer Excellence. This role will lead a team of functional experts to drive the process and capability for Customer Excellence, enabling end-to-end order to invoice processes and related capabilities, and will partner across IM and J&J to deliver integrated solutions.
Responsibilities
* Ensure key order to invoice processes and capabilities are integrated into the global template, designed, documented, and deployed in an E2E and effective manner within program timelines and scope.
* Lead a team of functional experts mapping end-to-end Customer Excellence processes to solicit solutions that integrate with other functions.
* Lead and support key phases of program execution to drive design closure, build prioritization, integration, readiness, and cutover.
* Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure design aligns with strategies and roadmaps.
* Partner with global template team of Supply Chain experts in design, development, maintenance, and improvement of global business processes and integration points.
* Own establishment and implementation of Customer Excellence process design methodology, including templates, tools, controls, and cadence.
* Manage cross-program process design interdependencies with stakeholders to implement controls, cadence, and risk mitigations.
* Ensure quality delivery of team results on time and within budget.
* Partner with program leads to establish integrated project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
* Partner with Data Standards team to ensure data standards meet business capability needs.
* Ensure planning and execution of business simulation and validation/readiness.
* Support Business Adoption team to ensure change management, business readiness, site readiness, and training are delivered to meet business needs.
* Develop and deliver program presentations for senior-level IM stakeholders to advise on historical and future program status.
Qualifications
Education
* Minimum of High School or equivalent diploma/degree is required; Bachelor’s / University or equivalent degree strongly preferred.
* Certifications in project management or related areas (e.g., PMP, FPX; APICS; Lean/Six Sigma) are helpful.
Experience And Skills
* Required:
* Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
* Customer Excellence experience (e.g., process and systems, order management, government pricing & contracts, or related areas).
* Business functional experience (Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Finance) in a complex, multi-ERP environment.
* Experience designing, developing, implementing, and leading operational technological processes within a global organization.
* Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiating/influencing skills with ability to collaborate across levels.
* People management and development experience (direct or indirect reports and partners).
* Preferred:
* Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, or other regulated industry experience.
* Experience with business process design, engineering, or optimization.
* Proven experience with large-scale SAP ERP replacement projects.
* Experience leading multi-functional governance and standardized processes.
* Experience deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates.
Other
* Proficiency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Dutch is helpful.
* May require up to 50% domestic and international travel depending on location and business needs.
* Ability to work on-site a minimum of three days per week with up to two remote days, per flexible work policy.
