Legal Counsel & Corporate Governance Specialist, based in Zurich (50-100%)

Responsibilities
* Respond to communications from Swiss authorities and requests for information from third parties.
* Organise, coordinate, edit, and review presentations and associated materials for the Board of Directors and shareholder meetings.
* Management of Commercial Register entries for relevant staff members across all branches.
* Assist with submissions to FINMA and conduct other tasks for the Corporate Secretary function.
* Manage policies and contracts for the bank.
* Handle inheritance cases.
* Address client complaints.
* Provide daily legal support for various projects, ensuring legal considerations are integrated into business responses and strategies.
* Respond to ad hoc requests from Front Office and other support functions, providing legal support as required.
* Assist with Lombard credit requests and draft associated loan documentation.
* Maintain legal templates and information documents on the bank's intranet to support the Front Office.
Your Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Swiss law; further qualifications are a plus.
* At least 3 years of experience in a legal counsel or corporate governance role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
* Deep understanding of Swiss regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; French is a plus.
* Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
* Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
* A proactive team player with a flexible approach, initiative, and enthusiasm for contributing to the bank's success.
