Spur Insights, located in Zurich, Switzerland, develops Data Science, machine learning and AI solutions to improve efficiency and reliability of industrial processes and machines. Our solutions are in broad use with clients in more than 100 countries, covering manufacturing processes and lines in the plastics, electronics, and converting industry. From our office near Stauffacher square in Zurich, the Spur Insights Data Science team works closely with industrial clients worldwide. You will join our international team of Data Scientists to develop and implement Data Science algorithms for machine data. Your role You will focus on designing, building, and deploying Large Language Model (LLM)–based solutions that bridge machine data, operator knowledge, and industrial processes. Your responsibilities may include: – Developing Agentic-LLM solutions to capture, structure, and reason over machine documentation, operator input, and historical service data. – Building AI-driven self-diagnostic and advisory systems that help detect wear and tear, impending mechanical issues, and incorrect machine settings. – Designing natural language interfaces and reasoning layers that support machine operators in troubleshooting, quality control, and energy efficiency decisions. – Fine-tuning, evaluating, and integrating LLMs for industrial use cases, with a focus on accuracy, robustness, and explainability – Collaborating closely with clients to understand machine behavior, data availability, and operational constraints, translating these into scalable AI solutions You will work hands-on across the full lifecycle, from data exploration and model development to deployment and iteration in real industrial environments. What we are looking for: – We are seeking candidates with strong foundations in Data Science and a clear focus on generative AI and LLM-based systems. – Data Science-centric languages and environments such as Python, Jupyter, Tensor Flow, or Matlab – Knowledge of generative AI, LLM – Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential. – Interest in or exposure to industrial data, machine engineering, or complex physical systems To apply, email your application to operations@spurinsights.com
