At Decathlon Switzerland, we're passionate about sport, and every day we share that passion with our customers. We're currently looking for a Boutique Leader (M/F) for our new store in Interlaken. The pre-match briefing is simple: Intrapreneur, Leader, Retailer.
The Interlaken project ?
To become the benchmark for customer experience in sports retail, by stimulating sustainable growth, innovation, and fostering a thriving sports community in the heart of the Alps. A particular emphasis will be placed on outdoor sports, which are hugely popular in the region.
Your playingf field ?
Our new store, spanning 700m² across 2 floors, will open its doors in late November 2025. It's ideally located in front of Interlaken train station, where you'll thrive in a highly international and tourist-driven environment. The Interlaken store will work closely with our "big brother" store in Heimberg. Please note that the store will be open on some Sundays throughout the year.
Your missions ?
As a Boutique Leader, you'll be responsible for driving the economic, social, and environmental performance of your store. Your role will revolve around three key responsibilities:
Human development and management:
1. Manage, motivate, and care for your team, building a solid structure adapted to future challenges.
2. Lead and monitor team projects, individual and collective performance, and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
3. Create a stimulating, supportive, and personal development-oriented work environment for everyone.
Local commercial strategy:
4. Develop and lead a local commercial project tailored to the needs of athletes and tourists in your catchment area, with a focus on outdoor sports.
5. Commit to ambitious omnichannel objectives, defining and implementing a sustainable and eco-responsible commercial policy.
6. Strengthen your store's presence through targeted communication actions, and develop strong relationships with local institutions and tourism stakeholders.
Customer experience and sustainable performance:
7. Ensure the best possible customer experience, guaranteeing their safety and that of your teammates, as well as adherence to procedures.
8. Implement strategies to promote our products and services, while extending the lifespan of items through innovative solutions (second life, customization).
9. Optimize human organization and working conditions to improve product availability and overall store performance.
Profil
Your profile ? Leader, Sports person, Intrapreneur, Retailer
10. You must have consistently and demonstrably embodied our values of Responsibility, Vitality, Authenticity, Generosity.
11. You have at least one successful prior experience as a Manager, ideally in the retail sector, and ideally within the region (a good knowledge of the local area is a definite plus).
12. You possess three highly developed senses: a sense of service, a sense of customer experience, and a sense of commerce.
13. You are fluent in English and German, which are essential for our international clientele. Proficiency in any other language is a real asset.
14. You have exceptional organizational skills, demonstrated on multiple occasions.
15. You have a recognized aptitude and competence as an operational leader; you are capable of leading teams and driving projects forward. You know how to coach, develop, and grow your employees.
16. You are an adventurer at heart; you love challenges and making decisions.
17. You are available to work on Saturdays, and some Sundays.
