Postdoctoral Fellow in Ion Trap Quantum Computing
Operate and further develop a complex ion trapping experiment based on the QCCD architecture with passive and active integrated photonics
Develop scalable approaches for controlling ions in a multi-zone trap array
Contribute to the design and implementation of experimental control systems, as well as optical and laser setups
Develop and implement protocols for quantum computing and quantum sensing experiments
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of PhD Students, technicians, and engineers
PhD degree in Physics or a closely related field (ideally with experience in experimental ion trapping or neutral-atom optical tweezer platforms)
Relevant peer-reviewed publications in the field
Demonstrated ability to design, operate, and troubleshoot complex quantum physics experiments
Highly motivated to advance quantum science and technology with an independent research profile
Hands-on experience in several of the following areas: optics and lasers; atomic physics; cryogenics and ultra-high vacuum systems; real-time control systems for quantum experiments; integrated photonics
Proficiency in data analysis and scientific documentation
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Experience with co-supervision of students
