IB Diploma Physics and IB Middle Years Physics and Integrated Science Teacher
Haut‑Lac International Bilingual School, located near Vevey (Vaud), Switzerland, is seeking a qualified Physics and Science Teacher to join the secondary school teaching team from mid‑August 2026.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed educator with experience in international schools and an interest in contributing to the school’s vibrant extra‑curricular programme. As an IB World School, we value teachers who are well‑versed in the IB curriculum and aligned with its educational philosophy. Candidates who can teach in both English and French, as well as those able to offer an additional science subject, will be given priority.
Applicants should be enthusiastic educators with experience of teaching in international schools and have an interest in promoting extra‑curricular activities to our students.
Your profile
* Bachelor in Physics or equivalent qualification
* Secondary PGCE or teaching certificate in Physics
* Experience teaching in the IB MYP and DP programmes (preferred)
* Strong proficiency with educational technology (iPads, interactive whiteboards, etc.)
* A passionate, student‑centred educator who uses inclusive, inquiry‑based, varied, and engaging teaching approaches
* Experience in a pastoral role (preferred)
* Native English speaker
* Working knowledge of French; higher proficiency strongly preferred
* Ability to teach a second science subject (preferred)
Responsibilities
* Teaching DP and MYP Physics and MYP integrated science in English
* Teaching MYP 4 and 5 physics in French (preferred)
* Contribute actively to the extracurricular life of the school
