Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic senior accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader finance organization, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
Routine responsibilities will include preparation and review of journal entries, oversight of accounting for balance sheet account reconciliations, financial statement analytics, and accumulation of details utilized to compile the quarterly statement of cash flows and footnote disclosures. In the undertaking of these tasks, the Senior Accountant will be expected to ensure the quality of work delivered by the team’s Staff Accountants and assist their supervisor(s) to foster the Staff Accountants’ career development. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the enhancement of internal controls and participating in special projects that improve or streamline accounting processes.
* Preparation and review of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytics over significant account balances, including cash, debt, and accruals.
* Review journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, and other work assigned to and prepared by staff accountants.
* Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required.
* Fielding and resolving inquiries from management, other departments within Hyatt, and external auditors.
* Contribute to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, including documentation of process areas and testing of key controls.
* Reviewing quarterly schedules for external reporting.
* Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
* 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or other equivalent business/financial role
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related field
* Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office
Experience Preferred:
* Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
* Certified Public Accountant
* Supervisory responsibilities or other experience that requires ensuring the quality of work delivered by other individuals.

The salary range for this position is $78,500 - $102,000. This position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
