Roles and Responsibilities
* Responsible for developing and managing cross functional, technology led, or product focused programs. Manages budgets and interfaces with contractors, suppliers, customers and internal functions. Manages program resource and budget allocation/integration. Manages schedule, budget, and tollgate process for NPI, requisition, or sustaining programs. Influences the programs to meet customer CTQs.
* Ensures the right rigor is applied by facilitating needed design reviews, risk reviews, manufacturing/producibility reviews, cost reviews, and supply chain reviews, etc.
* Ensures program scope is clearly defined and secures needed resources.
* Responsible for meeting customer requirements and making trades between product cost, performance, reliability, and operability for responsible programs.
* Works with Product Management on annual strategic planning effort, developing budgets and resource requirements, and to ensuring that technical vision, strategy, and fulfillment requirements are achieved.
* Primary interface with Product Management, as well as the customer on development, installation, field and technical issues related to responsible programs including periodic program reviews.
* Successfully manages schedule and budget for all associated programs and provides monthly status updates on year end estimate forecast.
* Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
* Accountable for leading horizontally across the Finance, Product Management, Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, and Gas Power Engineering (GPE) teams and work closely with the P2V team to implement product improvements across the functions.
* Develops strategy and value story associated with Engineering investment (SWL and resources) driving to an optimum ROI.
* Works closely with other P2V program Managers to understand risks and opportunities within the overall portfolio of P2V programs and share best practices and learning from one another.
* Oversees the overall portfolio of 15+ eNPP programs dedicated to Product costout
* Works with the Engineering functions (GTE, HDPE, PPE, Controls, etc.) to create and actively manage initiative schedules to ensure on-time execution of engineering deliverables & business P2V results.
Required Qualifications
* B.S. in Engineering
* Excellent project management skills
* Some experience in an engineering role
* Some experience with Thermal Power Plant Equipment / projects.
* Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
* Proven track record of delivering results, leading teams in a dynamic business environment
* Strong leadership skills capable of influencing at all levels of the organization
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
* Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
* Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
* Established project management skills.
Desired Characteristics
* Systems engineering experience
* Experience with Primavera (P6) and PLM
* Knowledge and familiarity of legacy Alstom and legacy GE accounting processes for vouchering time and purchase orders
