Kids Club Inclusion Site Specialist – 12 month position

Location: Varies – All elementary buildings; specific location(s) will be assigned and may change based on student and program needs.

Hours per Day:
Full‑time: 6.75–7.25 hours/day (33.75–36.25 hours/week). School year before / after school hours – AM 6:15–9:30, PM 2:00/2:30–6:00 – plus bi‑weekly leadership meetings. Summer & non‑school days: 6–8 hours/day as needed. Part‑time: 3.25–3.75 hours/day (16.25–18.75 h/week) with similar schedule.

Starting Base Pay: $24.58/hour

Anticipated Start Date: August 25, 2025

Notes: Eligible for a retention bonus.

Job Summary
The Inclusion Site Specialist works directly with all children in out‑of‑school time programs, providing direct support for social‑emotional, health, safety, and behavior needs. The specialist collaborates with Site Supervisors, Out‑of‑School Time Site Support Specialists, and the Inclusion Coordinator to implement inclusive modifications and accommodations, support individual student needs, participate in trainings, and plan activities for all kids. The role includes opening and closing sites, emergency response support, medication administration, and floating to sites as required.

Position Summary

Work with all kids as a regular member of the Kids Club program, plan and lead activities, and support out‑of‑school time programming as directed by coordinators.

Collaborate with Site Supervisors and staff to support invisible inclusion, intervene with positive behavior strategies, accommodations, and modifications.

Inform supervisors and coordinators of observations regarding student adjustment, learning, social interaction, behavior, and physical functioning.

Understand each child’s health, safety, and behavioral needs and recommend and implement reasonable accommodations and modifications.

Float to sites where student needs require reduced ratio, primary care support, or overall ratio support.

Support provision of special services to students with disabilities, including toileting, feeding, and medication administration in accordance with policies.

Maintain and update Health, Safety, and Inclusion binders and related documentation, including Department of Human Services reporting.

Attend regular team meetings, student support meetings, and program meetings as needed, maintaining communication with families and district staff.

Model appropriate behavior and support behavior management systems, guiding children in developing positive social skills.

Complete required professional development: 20 hours/year for part‑time, 30 hours/year for full‑time.

Create and implement lesson plans focused on social‑emotional learning, following state and program guidelines.

Maintain a positive, supportive community, uphold safety and security, and conduct accurate attendance counts and environmental monitoring.

Implement district and program policies, including emergency procedures and confidentiality, and assume a lead role when supervisors are absent.

Prepare equipment and materials for activities, arrange program areas, and assist with meal and snack service.

Maintain professionalism, fairness, confidentiality, respect, and equity for all students, staff, and families.

Assist with field trips and collaborate on trip planning with supervisors and coordinators.

Adjust schedule for field trips, non‑school days, trainings, meetings, and summers.

Back up Site Supervisor and manage site opening/closing as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED plus 12 credits (or 120 hours of relevant training) and 2080 hours of related experience; OR AA degree/vocational certificate in education, child care, recreation, special education, or related area plus 12 credits and 1040 hours of experience; OR baccalaureate degree in a related field plus 12 credits and 520 hours of experience.

Demonstrates appreciation of diversity in all interactions.

Communicates with students, parents, co‑workers, supervisors, and the community in a confidential, positive, and responsive manner.

Competent in computer functions including email, Google Drive, the internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Provides services to students as directed, respecting the dignity and basic rights of children.

Accepts work direction willingly, adapts to new responsibilities.

Models appropriate behavior, neat appearance, and proper grammar for all students.

Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.

First aid and CPR certification (or must obtain within 90 days).

Prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
