As an Engineering Technician, you will support the development and fabrication of advanced dexterous robotic hands. Your work will involve mechanics and electronics, assembling prototypes, developing tests, and managing a state-of-the-art hardware workshop. You will contribute to bringing a complex product from concept and early prototypes to scalable manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble prototypes and small batch series of robotic hands
* Develop and improve manufacturing and assembly procedures
* Conduct and document reliability and lifetime testing
* Manage our mechanical workshop
* Assist in installing robots at customer sites and provide hardware support
* Train others on processes and procedures
Requirements
* Professional training (Ausbildung) or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
* Strong intuition for mechanical and electrical systems with hands-on experience
* Experience with 3D printing (FDM)
* Skills in CAD design, manufacturing processes, PCB design, soldering, programming in C++/C/Python, etc.
* High motivation and problem-solving skills
* Organized work style, capable of motivating others
* Must hold a Swiss work permit or EU passport
