We are partnering with a leading global provider of software and services to the life sciences sector to appoint a Global Account Director. This senior commercial leadership role will manage two of the world’s largest Swiss-based pharmaceutical clients, driving strategic growth across their global operations.
The position offers the opportunity to work at the highest levels within the biopharma industry, orchestrating multi-disciplinary teams and delivering innovative solutions that transform drug discovery and development. Based ideally in Switzerland, the Global Account Director will act as the strategic lead for these accounts, engaging with senior executives, building long-term partnerships, and delivering year-on-year growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic account management for two major Swiss-headquartered pharmaceutical clients
Build and maintain C-suite relationships and influence at multiple organisational levels
Develop and execute global account plans across software and services offerings
Identify and convert growth opportunities, from initial engagement through to deal execution
Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and ensure effective governance structures are in place
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and CRM data integrity
Key Requirements
10+ years in senior enterprise sales or global account management, ideally in life sciences or R&D software/services
Proven track record managing large, complex global accounts and delivering growth
Strong consultative selling skills and ability to engage at executive level
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and lead through influence
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrix environment
Fluency in English; additional European languages advantageous
Based in Switzerland or willing to relocate
