Mid-Level Software Engineer - Security
Google is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with expertise in security, particularly in Linux Kernel security features. The ideal candidate will have experience in building software for data privacy or security, with a focus on proactive security measures and open-source collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Build automated processes for handling and patching security bugs.
* Engage with the open source community to enhance kernel hardening and eliminate bugs.
* Identify new bugs through fuzzing and static analysis.
* Develop and deploy security hardening features.
* Assist in security decision-making and review hardware and OS features for vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 2 years of experience in software development related to data privacy or security.
* 2 years of experience with programming languages such as C, Assembly, or Go.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
* Experience with data structures, algorithms, and system security.
* Knowledge of low-level software such as Linux Kernel, Hypervisor, Firmware.
