The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Group Specialist to join our Central Services / Central Sales Management Team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Central Sales team and a portfolio of hotels, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role

The Central Sales Group Specialist will manage a sales funnel at multiple Select Service properties daily. They will receive leads from many different sources, interact with clients, create proposals, and respond in a way that is beneficial for each hotel and its individual goals. This person will be responsible for proactive business development to find new business opportunities for the hotels in their portfolio. This person will utilize Envision and other sales tools to promptly respond to leads to increase conversion and revenue.

Perform Market Research and analysis to understand participating hotels’ current business landscape

Is comfortable using Envision to track all activity in prospecting and sales funnel management

Effectively communicate program success and results upwards and outwards

Promptly respond to all incoming group leads and referrals with professionalism

Qualifications
Experience Required:

2+ years of experience in the same field, industry, or other equivalent business/ function role

Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data

Must have previous Hyatt Sales Experience

Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets, and Hyatt Systems (Envision, Opera, Reserve, etc)

Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

The ability to sell strategic decisions to gain an optimal business mix

Ability to manage upward with good debate and consensus skills with objectivity

Must have the ability to travel as needed

Home office position that requires the need for productive home office space.

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000. This position is also eligible for a sales incentive plan.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
