The DACH region sits at the center of this shift, with strong demand across regulated industries, the public sector, and large enterprises seeking secure, compliant, and cost-efficient database platforms.Nutanix Database Platform (NDB) enables customers to run databases securely and efficiently across on-premises, sovereign cloud, and public cloud environments, delivering automation, compliance, and cost control where it matters most.To accelerate growth, Nutanix has established a dedicated global sales organization focused exclusively on database workloads, working alongside the core infrastructure sales teams. Nutanix infrastructure powered by NDB already supports mission-critical database platforms for enterprise customers and MSPs worldwide. We are now expanding this proven model further across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, providing the tools, assets, and support required to operate autonomously and build qualified pipeline from day one.Your Role
1. Segment the regional market and ensure effective coverage across enterprise, regulated industries, and public sector customers
2. Own the end-to-end success of the NDB business, including strategy, pipeline development, execution, and revenue performance
3. Drive database platform displacement opportunities, including legacy and incumbent technologies
4. Position database automation as a strategic enabler for security, compliance, operational efficiency, and data sovereignty
5. Lead customer discussions on regulatory requirements and sovereignty considerations
6. Build and execute pipeline through coordinated field, channel, and marketing activation
7. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and Nutanix field teams throughout the sales cycle
8. Design and plan NDB solution adoption by leveraging product experts, solution architects, and Nutanix Services
9. Lead TCO, ROI, licensing, and business-case discussions for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB workloads
10. Own revenue targets for Nutanix NDB and drive consistent quarter-over-quarter growth
11. Provide structured feedback to product management, marketing, and engineering to influence roadmap and go-to-market strategy
12. Represent Nutanix NDB in industry events and internal Nutanix communities as a database thought leader
What You Will Bring
13. Proven experience selling database platforms, DBaaS, or complex enterprise software solutions
14. Established executive-level relationships within local enterprise and regulated accounts (., financial services, public sector, large enterprises)
15. Demonstrated ability to build and scale a business using top-down executive engagement and bottom-up technical adoption
16. Track record of growing early-stage opportunities into sustainable, high-performing revenue streams
17. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases in virtualized and/or public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
18. Comfort operating in high-ownership, low-process environments with significant autonomy
19. Willingness to travel up to 40–50%
20. Excellent communication skills in both English and German, with the ability to engage meaningfully with customers.
Work ArrangementRemote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs. --
