The opportunity
In our Operations department in Geneva, we are currently looking for a motivated engineer to join our team of specialists. Are you interested in developing control concepts and software for new charging solutions in the field of e-Mobility, such as eBus charging and large eV depots/terminals? Then this job is for you!
How you’ll make an impact
1. Lead the development and lifecycle management of object-oriented software for embedded systems, including onsite installations and lab testing
2. Design and implement customized software solutions for eMobility projects, ensuring integration with backend systems and digital functionalities like fleet monitoring and smart charging
3. Troubleshoot embedded devices, analyze data, and report findings to relevant stakeholders
4. Write and execute technical specifications and test procedures for internal and external partners
5. Coordinate engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring complete multidisciplinary input and timely delivery
6. Provide technical support during testing, installation, commissioning, and warranty phases
7. Ensure cost-effective, high-quality engineering solutions that meet safety standards and contractual obligations
8. Collaborate with customers, contractors, and supply chain partners while managing scope, budget, and schedules
Your background
9. Master's degree in engineering
10. Min. 2 years relevant Working experience
11. Proficient in object-oriented programming (Python and/or JavaScript), with experience in backend development including API integration, databases, and cloud solutions
12. Familiar with embedded systems (Linux OS), version control tools (Azure DevOps, Git), and optionally frontend frameworks like Angular or React
13. Knowledge of e-mobility standards such as OCPP (preferred), IEC 61851, ISO15118, DIN 70121, VDV 463/261, SAE J3105
14. Experience with Docker/Docker-Compose in production environments and understanding of communication protocols (WebSocket, MQTT, ModbusTCP)
15. Fluent in English (written and spoken); French preferred; German considered a plus
16. Strong grasp of engineering disciplines and project management, capable of managing complex projects independently
17. Skilled in coaching and reviewing work of junior professionals
18. Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
