As EF Tours ramps up our digital modernization journey, we are looking for a talented Senior Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us expand data-driven decision-making within the Travel Department. You will join a team of Analytics Engineering professionals helping to provide data warehousing and modelling solutions which support our stakeholders in operational teams to gain faster and more accurate insights from our data. The data and insights we deliver have a direct impact on the huge number of students and adults travelling with us, as well as the profitability of the business. We operate from the EF global headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
The role
You will work closely and build relationships with data engineers, analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to understand, organize, integrate, clean, test and document our data to provide a well-structured data warehouse following medallion architecture principles.
* Develop and architect our cloud analytics data warehouse using Snowflake and DBT
* Develop and maintain dimensional models using Power BI Semantic
* Develop reports and dashboards in Power BI
* Build relationships with key partners and routinely present proposals and results
* Gather and share expertise, best practices and insights internally
* Partner with cross-functional global teams across engineering and operations to implement data models across the business

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
* 5-7 years of analytics engineering and/or data engineering experience
* 5-7 years of work experience with dimensional modelling, ETL/ELT or other relevant data pipeline tools
* Highly proficient working in SQL, Snowflake and DBT
* Expertise in ingesting, transforming, and consolidating data from structured and unstructured data systems suitable for analytics solutions
* Proficiency in creating insightful reports/dashboards in Power BI
* Demonstrated experience using AI-powered tools to enhance SQL development, data modelling, testing, documentation, and debugging
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
* A proven team player
