Team mission
The Checkout team is responsible for the checkout flow across our website and apps. Our mission is to deliver a seamless fast and secure path from activity selection to payment helping travelers shortlist book and maximize value through low-friction checkout and easy-to-use accounts - driving conversion competitiveness and sustainable customer growth for both new and returning travelers. The team is also driving a major modernization of our tech stack with a focus on high-quality AI-first development and scalability.
Your mission
Design and develop scalable and secure systems that power the checkout flow and the login experience with the primary focus on backend systems but including frontend work as needed
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs propose technical solutions and deliver working software that solves customer problems and drives measurable impact
Help evolve AI-first development in the team shaping best practices and foundations that enhance quality and productivity.
Continuously improve our systems by systematically removing tech debt and creating simple scalable and maintainable solutions
Take an active role in operational work advancing how we run our services
Work in a cross-functional mission team alongside product managers designers and data analysts
Mentor engineers contribute to team culture and help teammates do their best work through feedback and
