Position Overview
Quality Control (QC) Basel/Kaiseraugst – responsible for analytical quality testing of a broad product portfolio including drug substances and products, medical devices, bulk, finished goods, direct and packaging materials. This role is part of the Analytical Science and Technology (ASAT) section, focused on strategic implementation of modern testing methods and technology across the Roche network.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate cross‑functional projects with Pharmaceutical Development, Manufacturing Operations, and Commercial QC.
* Drive network agility and promote standardization across the Roche network through participation in global project teams.
* Serve as primary contact for partners on new analytical technologies and manage technology implementation.
* Provide strategic support for ASAT objectives and oversee technical assignments and method transfers.
* Prepare and author GMP documentation such as transfer/validation plans, risk assessments, SOPs, and manage change controls and deviations as an SME.
* Support audit readiness by preparing for and executing health authority inspections to maintain Right to Operate.
* Manage the product lifecycle to ensure consistent analytical standards and technical steering.
Qualifications
* Degree in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotech) or a technical field.
* Several years of experience in a quality/GMP environment.
* Strong analytical background and understanding of safety and quality systems.
* Proactive, self‑initiated, organized and solution‑oriented work style.
* Collaborative, agile with interdisciplinary understanding and ability to work within a global network.
* Business‑level proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
* Availability for workload of 80‑100%.
