Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Global Import Controls, the Valuation Manager will coordinate the global customs valuation program, partnering with regional teams and cross-functional partners. The individual will leverage their knowledge of cross-border valuation rules to support J&J's compliance with global trade regulations, resolve complex valuation issues, build capabilities, and monitor regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deploy valuation policies, processes, and procedures to meet regulatory requirements
* Ensure timely implementation of valuation requirements in collaboration with main partners
* Lead third-party engagement as needed
* Support governance of global valuation metrics and scorecards, ensuring continuous improvement
* Advise on design and implementation of global trade solutions across processes, data, and technology
* Collaborate with trade compliance teams and business units to build trust, influence, and make informed decisions
* Perform other relevant activities as needed
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Compliance, Economics, Legal, Customs, Trade, or related field. Relevant certifications are desirable.
Experience and Skills
* Minimum 6 years of Trade & Customs experience, with at least 1 year in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of global compliance strategies and processes
* Experience with compliance data and technology solutions
* Understanding of importing, exporting, and trade regulations
Preferred
* Experience working with regulatory agencies and industry peers
* Experience managing compliance solutions with SAP, SAP Global Trade Services, Alteryx, PowerBI, or similar tools
* Project management skills
Other
Fluency in English required. Up to 25% travel may be necessary.
