For our insurance client in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Data Architect.
In this project, you will play a key role within a global transformation program, contributing to the design and implementation of a modern data landscape in the finance domain. You will support the development of a global finance data lake and drive data‑driven solutions with a strong focus on standardization, scalability, and innovation.
Your Tasks:
* Design and own business-driven data models to support finance reporting, planning, and advanced analytics
* Act as a bridge between business and IT by translating business requirements into scalable data structures and solutions
* Define and oversee end-to-end data flows from source systems into a global finance data hub
* Establish and drive data standards, definitions, and governance principles to ensure consistent and reliable datasets
* Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to implement harmonized data structures and support transformation initiatives
* Actively contribute to the evolution of the data architecture within a global finance transformation program
* Integrate modern approaches and support processes with an“AI-first” mindset
Your Profile:
* Proven experience in data architecture, data modelling, or a similar role within complex transformation environments
* Strong understanding of finance processes and related data structures, including interactions between local and global reporting requirements
* Ability to translate business needs into structured data concepts and models
* Experience with modern data platforms and cloud environments (e.g., lakehouse architectures, Snowflake, Databricks)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders
* High affinity for innovation and an AI-driven mindset
* Solid proficiency with common tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
* Nice to have: certification in data management (e.g., CDMP) and extensive professional experience
* Fluent in English
