Role Overview
This exciting opportunity requires a person who understands and supports an enterprise-scale Active Directory environment. As an Architect, you will be part of the global operations team responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting a complex enterprise Windows server solution.
The focus of this position includes daily support functions, ongoing maintenance, performance monitoring, capacity planning, financial forecasting, project work, and the continuous availability of the Active Directory platform globally at VF.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure operational stability of IAM systems and services, including Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, LDAP, single sign-on (SSO), and related supporting technologies.
* Evaluate Directory Services operational activities and solution designs to ensure they achieve stable, supportable outcomes.
* Collaborate with internal customers, such as application owners, compliance, security, and system owners, to drive adoption of directory services and ensure the service meets requirements.
* Partner with 3rd-party, internal IT, and application teams that manage infrastructure and services upon which Directory Services relies.
* Manage identity systems, strategy, and roadmap, improving operational maturity levels and adding capabilities based on current and anticipated customer needs.
* Establish, document, and communicate Directory Services capabilities, policies, and procedures to key stakeholders.
* Lead an on-site and remote team responsible for operations support, overseeing assignment, incident tickets, and delivery of service requests.
* Lead decision-making, planning, and execution of major upgrades and migrations.
* Work with internal and external auditors to provide requested evidence in a timely manner.
* Recommend and develop security measures to protect information and systems against unauthorized modification or loss.
* Remove manual efforts through automated solutions using scripts, pipelines, etc.
* Actively seek research innovations in IT security as well as IAM technologies and services, striving to ensure VF continues to deliver best practices and standards.
* Serve as Directory Services subject matter expert and provide advisory and consulting services as needed.
* Partner with Managed Service Providers (MSP), consultants, recruiters, outsourcing providers, and software vendors that provide IAM products and services.
Requirements for Success:
* Extensive relevant experience in Architecture and designing solutions, migrating Active Directory/Azure AD, and supporting Windows.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, LDAP, Active Directory Federation Services, and other centralized identity stores.
* Demonstrated Identity and Access Management governance, compliance, and operational support experience for large-scale Enterprise Access Management engagements.
* Experience leading the delivery of functionality and services on time, within budget while still meeting business needs.
* Experience in managing, implementing, and maintaining Enterprise Security.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in AD assessment in terms of OU delegation, GPOs, permissions, AD Trusts, two-way Trusts, and one-way Trusts.
* Strong hands-on experience in coding in PowerShell scripting.

* Demonstrated ability to translate business drivers and priorities into security design, policies, and procedures.
* Provide technical perspectives to other architecture functions to ensure that solutions effectively leverage infrastructure capabilities and services and integrate with them.
* Must have excellent initiative, organization, and customer service skills.
