Your main tasks and responsibilities
* Contribute to the further development and implementation of Octapharma's Environmental Stewardship strategy.
* Take an active role in advancing initiatives that improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pollution, lower water usage, and support closing material loops.
* Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into processes, projects, and decision‑making.
* Research new sustainability trends and translate your insights to support continuous assessments of environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities, as well as to inform our evolving Environmental Stewardship strategy.
* Support the further development and tracking of metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental sustainability initiatives.
* Contribute to the development of the sustainability report through information collection and documentation.
* Stay informed about relevant regulatory developments and support efforts to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
Your expertise and ideal skill set

You are a motivated early career sustainability professional with a strong interest in environmental topics and a passion for driving positive change. You manage tasks and projects with diligence, are comfortable collaborating across functions, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and grow. With a proactive mindset, solutions-oriented attitude, and reliable working style, you take initiative and approach challenges with curiosity. You are a strong team-player but also comfortable working independently.

We are looking for someone with:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Business Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
* Demonstrated passion for sustainability and corporate responsibility, ideally complemented by relevant work experience
* Foundational understanding of corporate environmental sustainability frameworks, regulations, or industry practices, paired with a strong willingness to further develop your expertise
* Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and clearly communicate complex topics to a variety of stakeholders
* Max. 3 years of working experience (excl. internships)
* Professional personality and a flexible team player
* Curious and willing to grow in a people leader or a business professional role
* Willing to move internationally for work assignments
* Fluency in English – additional languages are a plus

We, the Group Sustainability team, are the central hub for all things sustainability at Octapharma. We are responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating the implementation of the sustainability strategy across all business units. Operating as a networked team, we work in close collaboration with colleagues from different business areas to drive impactful sustainability initiatives. Additionally, we oversee Octapharma's sustainability reporting, ensuring transparency and progress tracking.
