Position and Responsibility
Lead, monitor and manage assigned maintenance projects by actively controlling to meet the given time frames and deadlines.
Have operational responsibility for assigned projects.
Ensure that adequate work standards and procedures are established for assigned projects and constantly ensure their compliance and necessary improvements.
Ensure cooperation between all other departments and sections of the company to meet the deadline.
Develop work procedures and tools with the aim of improving the way AMAC handles heavy maintenance and minor modification projects.
Support the Part 145 Maintenance and Part 21 Production Organization in accordance with the applicable Airworthiness Authority Regulations to improve project efficiency and productivity and ensure customer expectations are met.
Ensure that the required administrative steps are taken care of and followed in order to ensure adequate support as well as to guarantee fulfillment of all requirements of the Maintenance Organization Exposition.
Work in accordance with applicable procedures as per Design Organization Exposition (DO-Handbook), Production Organization Exposition (PO-Handbook), Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) and other AMAC Specifications.
Participate actively in the development of the company.
Ensure that safety rules are followed during all activities.
Report to the Manager of the Maintenance Project Management department.
Key Aspects of the Activity
Handle maintenance project from contract signature to A/C redelivery.
Be customer and internal focal point of contact before, during and after the project for all technical project related matters.
Make sure project preparation is handled properly and efficiently (manpower, slot, planning, critical path & tasks, internal communication, parts/kits ordering, tooling).
Prepare and lead pre-input, internal and customer project follow-up meetings.
Prepare, update and distribute Gantt chart with critical path and project milestones.
Dispatch Man‑hours budget to production.
Ensure that the project team has adequate resources for optimized results.
Manage A/C incoming phases and organize review with customers and shops to discuss incoming snags.
Coordinate activities on the project between all parties (customer, production, planning, purchasing, logistics, shops, engineering, 3rd‑party companies).
Support project team to identify smart and efficient solutions for unexpected and major findings having an impact on the schedule in order to maintain initial schedule or have the least possible delay.
Be cost‑controlling focal point of contact for project cost follow‑up.
Support billing to issue the final invoice prior A/C departure or as set in the contract (if required).
Monitor and ensure that the projects operational and financial targets are met.
Make sure the project is delivered within budget, on time and as per customer expectations.
Requirements
Experience in a similar leading position and/or as Project Manager in the MRO environment.
Experience within the corporate/private aviation business would be an advantage.
A minimum of 5 years aviation experience with technical knowledge is required.
Degree in Aeronautical Engineering School or similar education is required.
Good understanding of the aerospace industry, OEMs and the regulatory framework.
Good leadership, communication and organizational skills.
Ambitious, amiable & excellent interpersonal skills.
Stress tolerance.
Good knowledge of MS‑Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Office Project).
Current HF, FTS, EWIS and Part 145 Continuation certification.
Fluent in English verbatim and written.
Knowledge in French and/or German language would be an advantage.
Driving license.
The position Engineer / Manager will be determined based on the experience in a similar role.
