For our Front Arena Team based in Zurich, we are looking for a Senior Software Developer. You will start on the Front Arena Development team with the opportunity to rotate on a regular base to the Front Arena Engineering Team.
Role Responsibilities
Development Team
* Large‑scale extension of our product offering by implementing and integrating new payoffs end‑to‑end, including trade capture, valuation, booking, and lifecycle management.
* Continuous enhancement of our risk reporting framework and quoting capabilities for exotic and leveraged products.
* Integration and optimization of our cloud‑based valuation grid for exotic products.
* Driving the evolution toward a cloud‑capable, containerized Front Arena platform.
* Close collaboration with project management and business engineering teams for requirements analysis and strategic initiatives, with opportunities to take technical ownership.
* Acting as a key driver in the rollout, testing, and validation of Front Arena upgrades and hotfixes.
* Coordinating and supporting structured user acceptance testing with stakeholders.
Engineering Team
* Agile, continuous enhancement of our risk system (Kanban‑driven), with direct impact on stakeholder experience.
* Optimization and expansion of the Front Arena CI/CD framework, with a strong focus on automated testing, improving reliability, quality, and time‑to‑market.
* Driving the adoption of new technologies, particularly cloud‑based scaling approaches for the risk management platform.
* Reducing technical debt through strategic refactoring and automation of complex processes and code.
* Monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing system performance and capacity utilization, treating operations as a software engineering problem.
* Supporting infrastructure modernization and proactive capacity management.
* Designing and continuously optimizing Front Arena process scheduling.
* Providing support and participating in an on‑call rotation to ensure platform stability.
Qualifications
* Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of professional experience developing and operating risk management systems.
* Strong programming skills with Python, including structured and object‑oriented design, with experience building production‑grade applications.
* Solid experience with Front Arena, including core components such as ADS, AMAS, AMS, AMBA, TAB and Front Arena framework (AEL, ACM, ADFL, ASQL).
* Good understanding of modern data and infrastructure technologies such as Apache Kafka, Splunk, Grafana, Snowflake, MSSQL Server, Windows Server and similar technologies is a plus.
* Strong interest in financial products (structured and exchange‑traded), including their valuation, risk management, and lifecycle.
* Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and a strong client‑focused approach.
