About The Job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department, the Chef de Rang assists in the Savoy Brasserie & Bar, Fine Dining, In Room Dining, or Banquet teams to provide impeccable service. The Chef de Rang reports to the Outlet Manager.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing professional advice and customer care to guests
2. Serving food and drinks professionally
3. Maintaining high-quality standards
4. Preparing mise-en-place, covering, and cleaning in the restaurant
5. Supporting supervisors in daily tasks
6. Registering transactions accurately and managing cash
7. Assisting in the preparation and execution of special events
8. Adhering to hygiene regulations and HACCP guidelines
Candidate Requirements:
* Vocational training in hotel or catering industry
* Basic computer skills; knowledge of Infrasys and SevenRooms systems is advantageous
* Strong communication skills for guest interactions
* Open-mindedness and teamwork ability
* Excellent manners, well-groomed appearance, positive charisma
* Flexibility and resilience, including weekend and holiday shifts
* Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus
* Legal right to work in Switzerland
