Context
As part of the structuring and scaling of data practices across our clients, we are looking for a Data Quality Manager to ensure that data is reliable, consistent, and fit for business and regulatory use.
This role plays a key part in enabling trusted data foundations that support operational excellence, analytics, and strategic decision‑making.
Mission Objectives
Data Quality Strategy & Framework
* Define and maintain the enterprise data quality strategy, standards, and policies
* Establish data quality dimensions, rules, thresholds, and KPIs aligned with business needs
* Design and evolve the data quality operating model, including roles and responsibilities
Monitoring, Controls & Remediation
* Implement data quality monitoring, controls, and reporting across key data domains
* Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive remediation actions
* Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with data owners, stewards, and IT teams
Governance & Ownership
* Work closely with Data Owners and Data Stewards to ensure accountability for data quality
* Ensure consistent application of business rules and data definitions
Tools, Automation & Integration
* Select and manage data quality tools and automation solutions
* Integrate quality checks into data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and CI/CD workflows
* Promote “data quality by design” across systems and data products
Stakeholder Management & Communication
* Act as the main point of contact for data quality topics
* Communicate data quality performance, risks, and improvements to stakeholders
* Support training and awareness initiatives to enhance data quality culture
Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure data quality supports regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements
* Provide documentation and evidence for internal and external audits
* Identify risks related to data quality and contribute to mitigation strategies
Key Skills
* Strong expertise in data quality frameworks, dimensions, and best practices
* Experience with data profiling, data quality, and metadata management tools
* Solid understanding of data architectures, integration patterns, and data platforms
* Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA‑DMBOK)
* Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
Profile
* Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent
* 5–10 years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data management
* Proven experience implementing data quality frameworks in complex environments
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Ability to communicate complex data topics to non‑technical audiences
* High level of ownership, rigor, and attention to detail
* Fluent in English (German is a plus)
* Position based in Switzerland
Nice to Have
* Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, life sciences, energy…)
* Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and reference data concepts
* Experience with DataOps and agile delivery models
* Certifications in data management or governance
