We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Project Manager on our Product & PMO Team in Switzerland. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product and Project Management, you will be responsible for successfully delivering projects across multiple functional areas and locations, but focusing principally on managing product development projects. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills to establish a common understanding of project timelines, milestones, and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Coordinate activities, track project dependencies, create and manage project metrics incl. timelines, milestones, deliverables and costs.
* Set up and lead project core teams, determine and control project resource allocations, conduct project meetings and be responsible for stakeholder management and reporting.
* Produce project progress reports, KPIs and dashboards.
* Manage, track and mitigate project risks, serving as the key point of reference for all projects and drive problem resolution.
* Develop and regularly update monitoring reports for all projects and key initiatives within the company, including project KPIs.
* Communicate potential delays, hurdles, propose solutions, implement them when possible.
* Adhere to PMO best practices and strive for continuous improvement.
* Ensure the adequate level of documentation for projects, such as SRS, traceability, planning, timeline, release, with a focus on Good Documentation Practice, regular follow-up of the progress and compliance with regulations for the development of software as medical devices.
* Manage product development technical file and actively contribute to documentation required for gate review meeting milestones and regulatory submissions.
* Contribute actively to change management, process improvement, and optimization of software development processes, procedures, and agile iterations.
* Play a significant role in the agile activities together with the software project manager/SCRUM master and team including prioritization, sprints planning, iterations and releases.
* Facilitate product increment planning and drive other project planning workshops.
* Contribute to the maintenance of the Operational Projects Roadmap in collaboration with the product and project management team.
* Manage specific projects or initiatives as required by the business strategy and priorities.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
What You Need to Succeed
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ideally Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science. Masters a plus
Project Management:
* At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, ideally (but not essential) in a medical device, biotech, software development or related field
* Experience with Hybrid project methodologies i.e. Agile/SAFe and Waterfall
* Proficiency in Project follow-up, monitoring, reporting, Good Documentation Practice, project KPIs and metrics
* Experience with project management tools such as MS Project and JIRA. PMP certification or training is a real plus
Technical Expertise:
* Strong technical background in software development, and strong understanding of software development processes – essential. Experience in the development of Software as Medical Device is a plus
* Experience in requirements management and testing software essential
* Knowledge of SalesForce and experience in SaaS is a real plus
Regulatory Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant medical device regulations and standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA requirements) a plus
Languages & Eligibility:
* Good oral level of professional English. Good writing skills in English.
* Business French highly desirable.
* IMPORTANT: Swiss or European nationality with work permit eligibility is essential.
