Every thread, every stitch and every design choice carries with it a legacy of knowledge and innovation. /p h3The role /h3 pWe're looking for a Defence and Pro Workwear Lead to run two sides of our professional business (combined annual revenue of around €20 million): /p p1) Defence tender and sales strategy, identifying, shaping and winning tenders and sales contracts for Armed Forces and private accounts across Europe and globallybr/2) Commercial agenda for the Pro Workwear business, leading a small sales team /p pYou’ll partner with our dedicated Defence and Pro Workwear specialists on day‑to‑day account delivery and build the networks that get us invited early. The role is anchored in Bergen but does not require you to be based in Norway — we welcome strong candidates located elsewhere in Europe, close to the markets and customers you’ll serve. /p h3What you'll do /h3 pbDefence leadership (primary focus) /b /p ul liOwn the full tender process end to end, identifying opportunities, qualifying them, and leading tenders from first response to signed contract /li liLead tenders in Europe and the wider global market /li liLead compelling, compliant submissions, coordinating across product, production, finance and logistics, including pricing /li liTrack procurement portals and tender pipelines across multiple countries; own deadlines, documentation and follow‑up /li liBuild and leverage networks within defence and military procurement to position Janus Wool early and effectively /li liDevelop partnerships and generate sales through private defence sales groups and wholesale accounts /li /ul pbCommercial ownership — Pro /b /p ul liHold senior relationships with key accounts /li liNegotiate pricing, terms and framework agreements /li liSupport growth of our workwear distribution, building‑supply chains, specialist retailers, tradespeople, and industrial buyers such as fisheries, transport and warehousing /li /ul pbTeam leadership /b /p pOwn targets, budget, sales and demand planning for the Defence and Pro businesses /p ul liLead and develop a team of two salespeople, setting priorities and supporting them in the field /li liOwn pipeline and commercial reporting for the Pro business, as part of the leadership team /li /ul pbProduct, brand market /b /p ul liFeed customer and market insight into the Pro range, pricing and go‑to‑market /li liPlan and represent Janus Wool at trade fairs, customer events and industry forums /li liPosition our wool quality and Norwegian production as a clear advantage in professional and military applications, and ensure the brand is managed at the highest standard /li /ul h3Who you are /h3 ul liProven track record leading defence tenders, ideally across more than one European market /li liEstablished network and experience within military / defence procurement, a key requirement for this role /li liMinimum 10 years’ experience in B2B sales and account management within a relevant field /li liExperience leading or mentoring a small team /li liBackground from the Pro / workwear / technical‑apparel segment /li liA confident negotiator and relationship‑builder, comfortable owning senior commercial conversations /li liStructured and commercially sharp, able to juggle multiple tenders, deadlines and stakeholders across countries /li liStrong communication and presentation skills; good with PowerPoint and Excel /li liFluent in English /li liA Nordic language is an advantage, but not a prerequisite /li /ul h3Janus Wool offers /h3 ul liCompetitive salary and company car scheme /li liExcellent product training and a thorough introduction to the existing customer base /li liA senior role with real ownership and the opportunity to shape the Janus brand at a pivotal moment in the company's growth /li liA collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that values bold thinking and personal accountability /li liAccess to Janus products and the outdoor lifestyle that inspires everything we do /li liFlexible working arrangements and a commitment to employee wellbeing /li /ul h3Are you ready /h3 pIf you are motivated and curious and would like to become part of our dynamic team, apply right away using the online application form!
