We are seeking a skilled PR and Corporate Communications Manager to join our dynamic global team. This role, based in Amsterdam or Bern, is critical in shaping our public relations strategy and managing corporate communications to enhance INTERSPORT’s brand visibility and market presence worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and global positioning of the INTERSPORT brand
* Lead the creation and execution of the PR & Communications strategy and calendar
* Align closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, HR, ESG, Retail, Digital, etc.)
* Manage media relations, press releases, and maximize positive coverage
* Ensure consistent corporate messaging across internal and external channels
* Lead crisis communications and support markets during sensitive situations
* Plan and execute PR opportunities, such as interviews with key INTERSPORT spokespeople
* Drive internal communications to keep teams informed and engaged
* Act as the go-to resource for brand communication tools and templates, being the guardian of the INTERSPORT corporate creative identity
* Amplify campaigns through blogs, newsletters, influencer content, LinkedIn and other relevant tools
* Manage key celebration moments throughout the year (such as Earth Day)
* Build and manage relationships with key media outlets, emerging platforms and channels, influencers and ambassadors, collaborating and creating opportunities to enhance the INTERSPORT brand where relevant per category
* Manage the global LinkedIn channel daily, and support other social platforms where necessary
* Align with national organizations to unify and elevate brand storytelling, celebrating local initiatives and successes
* Measure communication effectiveness and optimize based on insights, creating monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as well as individual project wrap-ups
* Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly
* Ensure all PR & Comms activity is insight-driven and strategically planned
* Serve as the central contact for all PR & Communications topics
* Foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to support brand goals
Requirements and skills
* Deep understanding of PR and Comms as a tool to build a brand on a global scale.
* Strong understanding of media operations & landscape, both traditional & digital.
* Clear identification with and understanding of the INTERSPORT target audience.
* Proven track record in developing and implementing successful PR campaigns.
* Competence in strategizing and executing across the full PR and Comms Touchpoints
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
* Create and curate compelling communications for a global audience across a multitude of touchpoints within a consistent, INTERSPORT brand TOV.
* Creative mind and solution oriented.
* Excellent project management skills to complete multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills, being able to inform, influence, support and drive topics forward in an open and effective manner with a variety of teams and levels of the organisation.
* Strong presentation skills, including the ability to lead meetings effectively.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Passion for consumers, brands, sport and innovation.
Professional and educational background
* >6 years of relevant experience in PR & Communications, preferably within international Marketing at large-scale corporations
* Preferred Industry (but not required): consumer goods, ideally in the sports industry
* University degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing or related field
