Job Description
Target:
* Lead and develop the Global Sales Team, including Account/Key Account Management.
* Execute the global Business Unit (BU) strategy with dedicated sales strategies to ensure continuous global growth.
* Drive customer relationship management, growth initiatives, sales target execution, sales forecasting, and demand planning.
* Explore new market opportunities with customers to develop collaborations and joint developments in alignment with the strategic industry BU roadmap.
* Ensure consistency in sales processes, including after-sales, to achieve strategic and operational goals, with a focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
* Continuously improve profitability according to BU goals.
Tasks:
* Lead 4-6 regional Sales Managers and their teams, adhering to authority and approval procedures.
* Ensure short-term objectives and long-term strategies are achieved.
* Guide regional Sales Managers to meet sales targets, expand market share, and close deals.
* Manage and control the sales budget (topline and costs).
* Identify growth opportunities, manage customer needs, and drive customer satisfaction.
* Develop strategies to grow business with new and existing customers.
* Analyze market trends, support portfolio development, and collaborate with Product Management & Technology.
* Maintain accurate forecasts aligned with sales plans.
* Provide insights on market developments, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback.
* Drive market penetration strategies and new product development.
* Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management on global and regional plans.
* Oversee sales team performance, including succession planning and appraisals.
* Ensure profitability and improve global market coverage.
* Develop new business models in coordination with other regions.
* Implement value pricing and pricing strategies across channels and regions.
* Strengthen Global Account Management and align cross-regional activities.
* Define and drive activities to increase Share of Wallet (SoW) for each Global Account Management.
* Establish strategies for product launches and ensure global pricing alignment.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Economics/Business, and Chemical/Mechanical Engineering degree
* Extensive experience in International Sales Management (B2B or B&C)
* Knowledge of the Adhesives & Sealants industries, preferably 2-component systems
* Solid experience in distribution management
* Very strong customer focus, and communication skills
* Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills
* High analytical capability to review, assess, and interpret customer/market requirements
* Solid understanding of financials
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Advanced skills in MS Office, SAP, CRM (preferably Salesforce)
* English, German Language on a business fluent level
