Established in 2003, Another Planet Entertainment is the only independent, locally owned and operated, full service concert production company in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. We promote events 52 weeks a year in venues from clubs to stadiums to multi-day festivals and everything in between. APE exclusively operates and promotes concerts at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley, San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, The Castro, and The Independent, the Fox Theater in Oakland, Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys, Channel 24 in Sacramento, as well as co-promoter of The Bellwether in Los Angeles. Our Annual festival and events include San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Golden Gate Park Concerts in Golden Gate Park. Another Planet also includes Artist Management and Special Events divisions.

Audio Engineer | CH24
Job Title: Audio Engineer
Status: $29.50 – $33.50 per hour, Part Time/Seasonal (non-exempt) – commensurate with experience
Reports to: APE Director of Production and Channel 24 Production Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Perform load in and out of tour production gear and equipment
* Setup and breakdown band and event equipment including but not limited to touring backline, stands, microphones, cables, monitors, risers, etc.
* Ensure all audio equipment is functioning properly before and after each event, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues
* Program and operate the foh mixing console and/or monitor console for soundcheck and shows.
* Create a cordial, cooperative, and welcoming environment for artists and tours.
* Ensure audio needs for special and private events are met
* Communicate with touring audio techs to answer their technical questions and facilitate their needs.
* Conduct regular inspections, and maintenance on audio equipment, including cabling and control systems. Keep track of audio inventory.
* Attend production meetings, tech notes, and other meetings as needed by Production and requested by Management.
* When requested, participate in advance walk-throughs and surveys.
Skills / Experience
* 4-6 years experience as an audio engineer either with a touring production, venue stage production team, or staff engineer for an audio vendor
* Familiarity with Avid Venue, Yamaha DM/Rivage series mixing consoles is a plus.
* Dante Certification Level 2 minimum
* Experience with networking infrastructure over ethernet and fiber.
* Experience with complex analog and digital patching infrastructure. Must have knowledge of Dante, AVB, and Milan networking.
* Experience with wireless audio and microphone systems. Must be proficient in Shure Wireless Workbench
* Experience with Clear-Com Freespeak II wireless com system.
* Ability to read and interpret input lists, stage plots, production designs, and technical drawings.

* Must feel comfortable with using a computer and basic computer programs (email, word processing)
* Experience with Google Drive and Microsoft products is a plus.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime hours.
* Ability to repeatedly lift, push or maneuver items up to 75 pounds, either alone or with assistance from others, as well as scale ladders and work in high places.
