Data engineer - gcp

PpWe are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a long-term project for a client in the Banking Industry. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign and implement ETL/ELT pipelines and manage complex data workflows across multiple layers (staging, warehouse, data mart). /li liDevelop efficient and scalable data models aligned with business needs. /li liUse BigQuery to support large-scale data processing and analytics. /li liOrchestrate data workflows. /li liPerform data transformations using DBT (Data Build Tool) or similar tools. /li liCollaborate with DevOps teams on infrastructure provisioning and deployment. /li liEnsure data quality, consistency, and security across environments. /li liWork closely with data analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions. /li /ul h3Qualifications and Technical Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering. /li li4+ years of experience with Data Warehouse solutions, ideally in the Financial Services/Banking sector. /li liDeep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including schema design and optimization based on usage patterns. /li liProven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with BigQuery. /li liHands‑on experience using Apache Airflow and Data Build Tool (DBT) or similar tools. /li liExpert-level proficiency in SQL with extensive experience in writing and optimizing complex queries, developing and managing stored procedures, and fine‑tuning performance for large datasets. /li liHands‑on experience in developing ETL processes and maintaining systems for tracking data quality and consistency in large‑scale and complex datasets. /li liProficiency in Python for automating data validation and anomaly detection processes. /li liFluent in both written and spoken Italian and English. /li /ul h3Additional Requirements /h3 pData will be processed and stored exclusively for the purposes of this or future selections, in compliance with the Federal Data Protection Law (LPD) and guaranteeing the rights referred to in art. 13 Legislative Decree 196/03 and EU regulation 679/2016 (GDPR). /p h3Benefits /h3 ul liSwiss employment contract. /li liChallenging and international projects. /li liPositive work environment. /li liPossibility to work in a leading international banking area. /li /ul h3Location Requirement /h3 pWe do not provide a fully remote work policy.
