Role Overview:
The Global Category Strategy lead will own all the elements of the marketing mix (price, promotion, place, proposition and product assortment). Success will be measured through your ability to help shape our internal plans to deliver sales, profit and share growth for both Dr Reddy’s Consumer Health and our retail partners.
The candidate should come with the requisite experience to develop, implement, & monitor success of category strategies that drive growth and market share for Nicotinell across key account markets such as the UK, Canada, Australia, and independent pharmacy markets like France.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the commercial proposition for Dr Reddy’s Commercial Health (currently focused on Nicotine Replacement Therapy). Lead strategy development & set standards for global commercialisation of existing portfolio as well as new product development.
* Lead the commercial agenda of the annual business planning cycle; delivering clear building blocks linked to commercial initiatives (pricing, distribution, shelving improvement etc).
* Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement global category strategies to drive growth and market share for Nicotinell.
* Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in key markets.
* Shopper Insights: Utilize shopper insights to develop effective marketing and promotional strategies that resonate with target consumers.
* Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the UK, Canada, Australia, and other markets, ensuring alignment with category strategies that enable us to bring the outside in.
* Independent Pharmacy Engagement: Develop tailored strategies for independent pharmacy markets, particularly in France, to maximize product visibility and sales.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure cohesive execution of category plans.
* Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze category performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in category management, or a related role within the consumer health or FMCG industry.
* Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of key account markets (UK, Canada, Australia) and independent pharmacy markets (France).
* Analytical Skills: Proficient in market analysis and data interpretation to drive strategic decisions.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.
* Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive results.
* Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to key markets.
