Overview
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Group Head of SEO to lead our organic growth strategy across our portfolio of leading Swiss marketplaces. In this leadership role, you will define and drive the group-wide SEO vision, ensuring platforms achieve and maintain top organic search rankings. You will lead SMG toward an AI-first world where GEO / AEO are increasingly important. You will be the central point of contact for all things SEO, providing strategic direction and leadership to cross-functional teams, and communicating the SEO roadmap, performance metrics, and strategic plans to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
* Define and drive the group-wide SEO vision and strategy across SMG’s portfolio of marketplaces.
* Lead cross-functional teams, communicating the SEO roadmap and performance metrics to senior stakeholders.
* Develop and implement a scalable, data-driven SEO program that increases organic traffic and improves search rankings.
* Lead, mentor, and inspire SEO teams to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced, agile environment.
* Ensure alignment between SEO initiatives and revenue/business objectives and demonstrate clear business impact.
* Advise on technical SEO, content strategy, site migrations, and re-platforming efforts.
* Foster innovation and develop cutting-edge solutions to solve user problems and drive growth, with a focus on AI-first optimization.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of SEO experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, managing SEO for large-scale, high-traffic websites (preferably in marketplaces/classifieds).
* Proven strategic vision with a track record of developing and executing long-term SEO strategies that deliver business results.
* Technical SEO mastery across crawling, indexing, rendering, ranking, and experience with large-scale migrations/re-platforming.
* Data-informed decision making with proficiency in major SEO/analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
* Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills, with the ability to present to executives.
* Inspirational leadership with ability to mentor and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Business acumen with the ability to connect SEO initiatives to revenue and objectives.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field; English fluency.
