In a few words
We are looking for a Senior Performance Consultant to join our team and accompany our customers in Basel.
Your mission
1. Lead a team to effectively deliver performance engineering services, also taking part in hands-on delivery.
2. Manage a team of Altersis Performance engineers, ensuring a good team spirit, high satisfaction with the roles and tasks, and personal development of your team, as well as successful, high-quality delivery for the customer.
3. Track budget spend and plan resource requirements for your team’s projects.
4. Identify new opportunities to provide additional services at your client (or elsewhere from your network of contacts) and work with account managers/business managers to develop those opportunities into new business.
5. Influence clients/others on performance-related strategic topics at all levels within the organisation.
6. Outside of the customer project, contribute internally to our company by helping us to develop innovative new services/solutions (contributions may take different forms depending on your experience and available time – ranging from reviewing and suggesting ideas, to hands-on development).
Your profile
1. Expert understanding of performance engineering and its place in the software development process.
2. Expertise with at least one Load Test tool (e.g., LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter, etc).
3. Competence with at least one APM tool (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc) and/or tools in related areas such as Splunk, Elastic, etc.
4. Expert knowledge of performance in at least one technical domain (e.g., Java performance, mobile app performance, OS/database/networks, Cloud platforms/Kubernetes, etc).
5. Experience with different software application architecture designs.
6. Previous experience as a consultant – stakeholder management; account management; working on large, mission-critical projects; service development and delivery.
7. Ability to effectively report and present findings with the knowledge and authority to influence technical decisions.
8. Proven team-leading skills, also experience of training/coaching.
9. Proven ability to overcome complex challenges, both technical and non-technical.
10. Fluent written & spoken English and German is required. French is also an advantage.
