We are currently seeking a Pharmaceutical Development Manager to join our team in Zurich on a 6-month temporary contract starting in August. The role involves overseeing the development of line extensions and new drug products with third-party companies, focusing on late-stage process development, analytical studies, and tech transfer within CDMO settings. Responsibilities include managing regulatory variations and technical problem-solving, such as deviations. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Pharmaceutical Development.
Key Tasks
* Set project objectives and implement scientific and technical strategies.
* Manage development projects and oversee contracted companies.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals within set timelines.
* Conduct laboratory work for developing new products, dosage forms, and processes.
* Produce clinical trial samples following guidelines.
* Define technical specifications for new products.
* Assist in developing and validating industrial manufacturing processes.
* Create technical documentation and manufacturing protocols for registration.
* Transfer drug products between third-party manufacturing sites.
* Provide technical support during production as needed.
* Ensure all work complies with registration requirements and GMP standards.
* Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and issues.
Your Profile
* Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
* At least 3 years of industry experience or relevant academic experience.
* Experience in product development, production, and quality assurance.
* Expertise in scale-up, process development, and overseeing CDMO activities.
* Ability to manage complex activities for small-molecule products.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively in teams.
* Fluency in English.
Preferred Requirements
* Experience in late-stage development or production of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong project management and analytical skills.
* German language skills are a plus.
